Robert M. Dannenberg is Director for International Security Affairs for BP Plc. His responsibilities include global
risk assessment, threat analysis and the development of risk mitigation strategies. Mr. Dannenberg retired from the
Central Intelligence Agency after a career of nearly 25 years. During his CIA service Mr. Dannenberg was the Chief of
CIA's Cyber Operations Division, the Chief of Central Eurasia Division, and the Chief of Operations for CIA's
Counterterrorism Center. He served field assignments in Russia, Central Asia, and Europe. He worked extensively with
international and domestic partners on counterterrorism operations. Mr. Dannenberg received the Donovan Award for Operational
Excellence in 2007, the CIA Director's Award in 2006, and the George H.W. Bush Award for Excellence in Counterterrorism in
2005, as well as numerous exceptional and superior performance awards during his career. Mr. Dannenberg achieved operational
fluency in Swedish, German and Russian during his career.
He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and the Pinnacle
Executive Leadership Seminar at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
Mr. Dannenberg is married and has four children.
